Angelica Root

Botanical Name: Angelica archangelica Linne

Description: Angelica is also known by the common names Archangel Root, Masterwort, Wild Celery, Root of the Holy Ghost, and Dong Quai. The whole plant is aromatic and grows up to about six feet (2 meters) high and has dramatic spherical heads of tiny flowers.

Common Uses: Angelica Essential Oil eases muscular aches, soothes arthritic joints and rheumatic pains. It also eases indigestion problems and flatulence, and improves poor appetite. Angelica is highly valued as a fragrance component in soaps, lotions and perfumes, especially oriental fragrances. Emotionally, Angelica Root Essential Oil is recommended for fatigue and stress related illnesses.
 
Blends Well With the essential oils of: Patchouli, clary sage, citrus oils, frankincense

Cautions: Avoid Angelica Root during pregnancy, and do not use this oil on the skin before exposure to sunlight.
